The Lleida Pyrenees, a paradise for cross-country skiing

Close and popular, cross-country skiing is on the rise. Pyrenees of Lleida had become one of the best white destinations in the Peninsula for this sport, especially oriented to hikers and families. Along with its unbeatable offer of alpine skiing, we must add the 177 km that the six Nordic stations for cross-country skiing provide.

Skiing in Alt Urgell

Located between Alt Urgell and Pallars and within the Alt Pirineu Natural Park , we find Sant Joan de l’Erm , a pioneer resort for Nordic skiing throughout the country. Itineraries for all levels, both skiing and snowshoeing, pass through spectacular forests of fir, birch and black pine.

In this region there is also the Nordic ski resort Tuixent la Vansa that has circuits adapted to all levels in a large forest area. It has many services to make the adventure in the snow easier.

Skiing in La Cerdanya

The Aransa spot is located in an exceptional viewpoint towards the Lleida Pyrenees. The routes, of different levels and paths, pass through a black pine forest.

In the same area is the resort of Lles de Cerdanya which opened its doors back in 1970. It is the perfect starting point to this sport. In addition to cross-country skiing , in Lles you can also do nature tours with snowshoes in a 10-kilometer closed circuit. A unique way to enjoy the forests and nature.

Ski Pallars

Tavascán , in addition of being the only resort in Pallars Sobirà and within the Ski Pallars domain with a Cross-country ski circuit, it is a family resort , a high mountain environment for fans of alpine skiing, snow surfing and cross-country skiing.

Ski Val d’Aran

The Baqueira Beret resort receives its name from the town from Baqueira and the Beret area, on the way to Montgarri. Furthermore, it is the largest ski resort in Spain, with a transport capacity of 61,024 skiers / hour.

For the more intrepid, the Bassibe area, which was a peak reserved only for freeriders and mountain skiers who decided to climb its slopes. The new ski lift of Saumet opens an easy access to this peak and its different slopes.
